One of the leaves on my gold dust croton is crinkled, I'm new to indoor plants and have never seen this before. If anyone knows why this happens, what it means or how to prevent it, please comment, as it would be very helpful!

This variety likes higher humidity The crinkled leaves could be a sign the humidity is too low. But, these leaves crinkle as the plant matures. Add a humidifier, if needed. Bright sunlight or a grow light is needed to bring out the gold markings on the leaves. 🍀🪴

Thank you! It is on a windowsill so it has lots of sun, and i will spary it more often, to add humidity.

I’m not a big fan of misting. The water droplets are many times larger than the ones produced by a humidifier. This can lead to fungal growth. It also can block the natural release of water from the leaves during photosynthesis.

I've had mine for 5 or 6 years and it does the same thing. It's normal.
