I have a corn plant (dracaena) I recently purchased in a plastic pot with drainage that I keep in a decorative clay pot. Suddenly I have tiny gnats flying all around it. I put a yellow sticky in the soil and now that’s covered with them. I’ve removed the plant from all my other plants. Suggestions to get rid of these pests or is there something else also going on with the plant?

I let my plants with fungus gnats dry out completely in between waterings, as the larvae need moist soil to survive and adults do not want to lay eggs in dry soil. If the plant cannot handle drying out completely, I’d try mosquito bits (they’re banned where I live but I’ve heard great things) or a sand cover on top of the soil to keep adults from crawling in and reproducing and trapping the babies inside haha
