Hello! I have a cactus that’s growing a very nice healthy top but it’s getting bigger than the base and I’m worried it’s going to fall over. However, I’m not sure how to support it without damaging the spikes on it. What should I do?

What a character ❤️🌵 You can snap and propagate or get a trellis and set it against it for support
4 J'aimeIf I were to snap it to propagate it, how would I do that? Would the main cactus still keep growing afterwards? The trellis is a genius idea though!!
2 J'aimeIt would definitely keep growing. In the natural habitat if the heavy piece (which tells a story about light!) snapped off it would lay on the ground and root itself. So you could literally just cut it off with a sterile blade and place it at the base of your plant, or on top of the soil in a pot of its own. Just don’t over water of course!
5 J'aimeThank you so much! What do you mean by “tells a story about light?” Does this mean it’s not getting enough?
