Hello, I hope one of you can help me. I'm unsure if this is just a natural leaf death due to braiding, or if there's a disease present. My braided hoya a cumingiana has progressive leaf discoloration, on just one leaf! I'm concerned about spread, should this be fungal or bacterial. I've sprayed it with copper fungicide (Bonide) every other day for the last ten days. I've had this plant since April, and have watered it every 7 to 14 days depending on the weather. It was very happy until the weather turned locally in mid-November.

The other leaves are becoming a little thin compared to Summer. that could easily be because I've reduced their water habit out of concern for feeding a fungus.

i can see maybe a plastic pot down there? can you pull the plant out and inspect roots?

a couple things I would check - 1. roots. check the soil for anything munching. ive discovered how much soil mealies love Hoyas recently and a huge sign is thin leaves and random leaves just -dying- 2. i doubt it’s this one but could also be sucking pest that has left a wound that got bigger over time. maybe thrips but Hoyas that are well watered and thick should be strong enough to defend against thrips (which is why I was curious of leaf thickness~) 3. any chance the leaf just got booped?

Reduced watering and lighting can cause leaves to go yellow and drop. All the plants I brought in or moved around inside are starting to yellow. I have many plants and have not set up all the new grow lights. So, I’m just picking off yellow leaves until I can’t get my act together. Check the curled leaf for a cocoon inside. Just cut off the leaves, increase water and increase lighting, if needed. 🍀🪴
