I sprayed cinnamon bark oil mixed with water on my houseplants because I read that it helps with ants and pests and now several leaves on some of them are turning brown and dying. I tried spraying them with just water to rinse it off but I’ve noticed more brown leaves. Anything I can do to fix it??

What time of day did you spray?

All plants react differently so it’s hard to say, but some are simply more sensitive than others. I’d steer clear of this method. Ground cinnamon is a good antifungal treatment. Do you have specific pests you’re trying to treat?

I think it might have been last Thursday afternoon

Spraying in the heat of the day could cause burning, especially with oils. The sunlight heats oil and it will burn the leaves.

I have ants in some lemon/lime trees outside that I sprayed it on and those did fine, I just thought I’d spray the indoor ones too as a preventative. I defiantly won’t do that again. Only two of my indoor plants reacted badly so far

Yeah, I would only treat for pests on a case by case basis & probably not with cinnamon oil. Good luck!
