I have an alocacia dragon tooth plant and it started to flower so I removed the flowers and now one of the leaves are yellowing and drooping! I just bought the plant which was healthy 2 weeks ago and have not repotted and only have watered 2x. What should I do?

Why did you remove the flowers?🧐

I read that the flowers take energy from the leaves which kills the leaves and the leaf was starting to wilt with the flowers so I removed them to see if it would help with the plant.

Sometimes Alocasia’s cycle through older leaves, I’d check for pests though with the speckled look of that leaf

It looks overwatered. Are you checking the soil before watering?

Have you repotted it yet? you might want to check the root system, make sure there’s no mesh, and put it in very well draining soil because that soil looks a little dense
