Is it over for my alocasia polly?😔 I repotted her maybe about a month ago due to being somewhat root bound. Since then, recently two of the smaller laves yellowed and died off but I did not think much of it as alocasia tend to do that when they are focusing on root growth or want to push out new leaves (from what i’ve read). I usually spray the leaves of most of my plants with a mix of water, neem oil, peppermint castile soap and a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol every few weeks to help with pests and shine. I haven’t done this in about two weeks because I was sick. I noticed the leaves looking like this over the last few days and now I’m worried it’s possibly pests. The specs on the pictures is most dust but there are some black specs on the back of the leaves that I do not recognize 😔 I’d really appreciate any insight or if you’ve experienced this with any of your plants before!

Mine is doing the same. It’s going into dormancy. Second year for my plant. Started a little earlier last year. Wasn’t sure what was happening last year. But I kept it lightly watered during winter and spring growth started in March I think. Grew 15 new leaves during summer. I’ve lost two large and one small leaf so far. The others are turning yellow.

I never give up on plants as long as I see green and the stems are still firm. Hang in there!

the plant is still overall looking healthy as well as the roots so I’m going to trim some of the dying leaves & let it be for now! thank you for the advice😁

I definitely do have to finally invest in a good grow light this winter. The cheap amazon one I had was not cutting it lol

Mine was under a strong Sansi grow light and didn’t seem to make a difference. It was within this setup. It’s been moved to another room because it was looking bad, but this was its home on top shelf. Southeast facing window.
