It’s been getting droopier and droopier. I’ve only watered it once since I brought it home. But it doesn’t feel dry either. Anyone know what I should do?

Less sun
1 me gustaBut it’s under a grow light, so less light I guess? Interesting! Thank you!
1 me gustaHow long ago did you water it? I would check for root rot. If you’ve only watered it once since acquiring the plant and it’s not dry I would check the roots
2 Me gustaOk thanks Kate! Like more than a week ago now?
1 me gustaYeah I would definitely check the roots! Look up symptoms of root rot. I’ve never had to deal with it however I know if your soil isn’t drying out it could lead to root rot! I know it causes them to brown and be squishy it could also cause a rotting smell if it’s really bad. But if the roots aren’t looking healthy I would cut off the affected ones and soak in diluted hydrogen peroxide 1 part peroxide 2 parts water (however double check with google for accurate mixture portions) and pat dry and plant with fresh soil with good drainage

1 me gustaCompletely agree with Kate here. Peperomia are more susceptible to edema and root rot because of their succulent-like leaves. The peroxide helps with growing the roots back too. In terms of measurement, that’s exactly the amount I did. Essentially you need enough of the mixture to cover the roots. Make it so 2/3rds of the mixture is water as Kate suggested, and 1/3 of the mixture 2% Hydrogen Peroxide, as peroxide is best a bit diluted for this. Best of luck with yours!
