Hi guys! I’m new to the plant life. I’ve had this money tree since March and I’m super proud of her. She has a routine that I never skip and she’s grown since then. But I’ve noticed on some leaves there’s this brown/yellow ish color. I’m thinking maybe it’s too much sunlight. Since it’s a money tree I usually don’t water it but once a week, so I don’t want to overwater. I also don’t know what happens to them in the fall time, does it affect them any way? Thank you for any response!

My first thought was overwatering but since you covered that, my money tree leaves sometimes turn depending on how old they are (I’m typically talking about the older leaves).

That sounds right. They would be the oldest leaves on it at the moment. I did move it away from the window so we will see if that helps. Thank you for the advice!

Yellow brown leaves on most any tropical is an indicator of overwatering. Do you water without checking that it needs to be watered? Cause once a week may be too often.

I make sure the soil is very dry before absolutely watering it. When I do water it, I do soak ALL the soil since it is a “swamp plant”. I also mist it with a spray bottle to get the leaves some hydration as well.
