Does anyone know what these tiny white bugs are all over what used to be my beautiful zebra plant? They’ve literally appeared overnight - they don’t seem to be on the soil or pot only the stalk. I have other plants beside this but this appears to be the only one with them

Thrips. Isolate it from any other plants and treat Systemic granules helps a lot

Would you repot it all or just try the granules and go from there?

The systemic granules is an internal pesticide and absorbs in the soil and the plants roots and kills the thrips. Depending on how many plants are affected it maybe easier to treat with out repotting all of them. Spraying with a neem oil mixture also helps but the granules have been what worked best for me.

please look into the safety warnings before using systemic granules. the main ingredient is highly toxic not only to bugs but humans as well. i wouldn’t think the benefits (pest control) outweigh the cost of your health

Update - I’ve checked every single plant and they’re on nearly every plant in 5 different rooms😭

I’d go ahead and start treating all of the plants. I would shower them or spray them down in the sink to dislodge any thrips on the surface. Be careful not to get the soil wet if it’s not time to water. You don’t want to end up over watering. Spray them all with neem oil mixture every 3-4 days (I would do the neem oil at night bc you don’t want the plants in direct light until it’s completely dried) and apply systemic granules to the soil when it’s time to water. Follow the directions on how much to apply. I went through thrip infestation last year. It was like going to war 😩 but once the granules started absorbing I saw drastic reduction and was able to nurse my plants back to health
