I am in desperate need for help identifying and treating a pest. I can’t even get a photo of the larvae because they’re too small for the camera to pick up, even when using a magnifying glass. Here’s what I know: -They arrived about 6 months ago the first time, unknown vector but perhaps a sweet potato vine -small, somewhat pointy and yellow/orange larvae that turn into small yellowish/pale winged insects -eat and destroy the leaves of the plants, seem to effect my philodendron the most -I thought they were eradicated after I treated with insecticide soap and neem oil, bagged and waited for a month to not see any more of them -now they’re back, after all this time. My pink princess is getting hit hard I don’t know how to treat because I can’t figure out the insect, but this seems like an extremely long incubation time. I thought maybe thrips but this is too long for them. Please help! I’m about to just chop up or give up on my pink princess and she’s about 3 ft tall now.
