Hello, I got this rubber plant from a reduced section at the weekend, hoping to give it some love. I’ve never had one before and I can’t tell if its new leaf looks like it’s meant to? Or if it’s not very healthy as it’s so curled round and slightly pinky round the edges? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a rubber plant that looks just like yours. As her leaves come up they uncurl and look very much rounded like yours does so I think that’s pretty normal. Just have to wait and see what others think.🙂 I want to know how to make my rubber plant grow new shoots??? Anybody?🪴🤔

I’ve watched plant YouTubers ‘notch’ their rubber trees around the nodes by cutting them with a sharp clean knife. This encourages the plant to branch. Not a perfect science but I’d recommend peeping some videos if that’s something you’re interested in :):)

Thank you, that’s very reassuring to hear that your plant is the same 😊

All looks good! Sometimes the shock of being moved will render the new foliage a little warped or smaller until it finds its groove. Also tineke leaves start off a little pinkish, you’ll see once your plant grows and the new leaves emerge from the little tip (no idea what it’s called, sorry plant experts!) The tineke variety of the rubber tree is one of the most beautiful plants imo I hope you love watching it grow as much as I have 🥰🥰
