I just discovered these small fuzzy white things in my ginseng ficus. Is this a pest or what is going on here?!?!

    It looks like mealy bug nests unfortunately.

    Mealybugs. Hard to get rid of and spread quickly to nearby plants. Get a bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol and use either a small paintbrush or Q-tip and swab them with the alcohol and they will die instantly. You’ll have to check all over the plant and do it wherever you see them, and keep checking over the next few weeks.

    Isolate the plant. Check all the other plant plants. Wash hands and tools between touching plants. Mealybugs spread very quickly. Wipe down everything with the alcohol solution including under the pot, floors, tables, shelves, window sills and places where the plant rests.
