Hey guys. My Hoya publicalyx which is growing GREAT, she keeps pushing out tendrils and multiple leaves at the same time, she’s been in the same spot for a while ans gets good light. She’s acclimated and all that jazz, watered properly and has no pests (at least none u see) and this morning I noticed one of her long time tendril is turning orange. What can this be? Any help appreciated… She’s a gorgeous girl, she hugs herself a lot and sometimes let go as you can see at the top. Very happy plant

It’s artistic! I have two including a Royal Hawaiian that I bought last summer in 8 inch pots. They put out more vines and leaves once I got grow lights for winter. The new growth are burgundy to almost black including the stems. They go green after awhile. The leaf nodes are about 4 inches apart. There are leaves on every node since I got the lights. They get 10 hours of light.

I don’t think it new growth. More likely dying back in the same way that a leaf would turn yellow before dying. Could have happened a couple of way. If the tip of that tendril was damaged or broken the plant would have stopped growing from that point and started a new growth point. You can see it has started a new growth point on the other tendril. It can also happen if the tendril was turned downward. Hoya like to grow up the tree.
