Mouldy semi-hydro? I’m literally going nuts over the fact that my previous fluval stratum pots and semi-hydro have both developed mouldy tops and I don’t know what to do. I try to place fans around them but they still get mouldy. I changed everything from fluval to semi-hydro and there’s a very damp mouldy smell coming from them😩 How can I treat this or prevent it from happening🥹 I barely repotted them and they’ve adjusted, some better than others..

Do you use tap water or distilled water for them? Also check that you watering vessel is clean.

You could try this. I haven’t tried it in semi-hydro but I have used it in sphagnum moss. I have a lot of plants so if I get a whiff of something musty this gets added to the watering schedule. It works very well to keep mold and fungus away. Other than removing all that medium and sanitizing it with peroxide or baking it to kill all the mildew/mold this may work.
