hello everyone, I have this pothos plant that was originally propagated and planted a year ago and this yellow is turning yellow. I haven’t run into any issues so far but I am worried about this yellow leaf. Any ideas ???

I have a few Pothos and in my experience when they get a yellow leaf it’s from overwatering or keeping the soil too wet. I let mine dry out almost to wilting before I water them. They like to have the soil dry out. I do know my watering schedule changes in the winter, things stay damp for longer. Hope this helps.

cut the yellow leaf off so the plant stops putting energy into the dying leaf. once it’s yellow it will not become green again. once you cut it, you should eventually see new growth where you cut

It could be what the person above me said, it could also be the oldest leaf dying off, which is a natural thing, or needs a repot (you can tell if the roots are coming out of the drainage hole) i would keep an eye on it to see if any more leaves turn yellow and drop and you’ll know wether to be concerned.

I would take the plant out of its pot, inspect the roots, if any are squishy or smell bad it could be root rot, if it is root rot, cut off any bad roots and spray down with hydrogen peroxide, if they look fine, repot in a very airy soil (i do 2:1 ratio potting soil to perlite) and water snd make sure its fully dried out before watering again
