Help!!!! I saved this gorgeous Peace Lily from the streets. It was super sad and so I repotted it and gave it water and it sprang to life. Over the winter its not loves the drop in temperature but it’s still lovely and green. It’s been watered and fed. Its always been a little droopy since I found it but recently a few of the leaves has curled up!! Help? I really want to save this plant. The soil is moist (I use a soil regulator to check) but I’m unsure if it’s over watering (no water out of the bottom/in pot) or whether it needs more light? Any tips greatly appreciated!

Sorry you’re having such trouble with this rescue. Questions: - Is the plant getting lots of indirect light? - are you waiting for the soil to dry out before watering? Those are common issues I’ve had with my lilies

Lots of indirect light. I use the watering schedule on this app. But I also postpone if the top few inches are still wet

Your response is Super helpful. Bc I had THE SAME issue. I was doing all the right things like you and then the plant got sick. Turns out if the soil is too dense it can lock in moisture more than the plant likes and then that can lead to root rot. Now I always wait for the leaves to droop before I water - no matter how dry the soil gets or what the moisture meter tells me. So far, the drooping indicator for when to water has helped me avoid further sickness. Hope this helps!!

I find this plant to be soooo dramatic. I got tired of trying to please mine so I rinsed all the soil from the roots and stuck her in water where she can’t be a diva anymore.

      So she’ll grow in water?

I commonly find that my lilies need water when they do that, then they usually spring back within an hour. If your pot doesn’t have drainage holes I’d move it to a pot that does and water till it drains. Keep dirt wet.

See I thought that but the soil is moist throughout! Wondering if i should repot and start again!

Ooh! Just be careful. Depending on when you last repotted your lily bc it can go into shock if it’s repotted to frequently. Not trying to scare, just putting it on your radar. Like Bev says, they be divas.
