hey y’all! I just got this little guy, and after about a week he has gotten these big brown spots on only one leaf. I haven’t repotted it and since it’s cold it’s spent days in the sun and nights back in the house. Can somebody tell me why this is happening?

Maybe just adjusting to the humidity, and it is good that you didn’t repot it. It is honestly usually not necessary to repot a new plant. It might need a little more humidity

It can take weeks for a plant to adjust to its new environment

it’s in direct sun when it’s outside

That should be fine probably just stressed from the move. If it were only kept indoors and warmer where it was previously the brown tips could be a cold shock reaction and will just take time to reacclimate

Too much sun. Probably burned. Definitely take it out of direct sun.

Part sun and part shade is a rubber plant’s preferred light so it might also be too much sun even though they can handle full sun, it might not like it as much either

Rubber trees can live in direct sun if they are slowly acclimated. Most nurseries grow them in filtered sunlight. So, they will burn when moved directly into full sunlight.
