Hello everybody! I received this Alocasia Polly as a gift. My friend purchased it from a nursery and 2 days ago the leaves were perfect. Now it seems it has developed these yellowing/brown edges which seems to be occurring quickly. This is my first Alocasia. No signs of pests or spider mites. The soil was light to moderately dry as I watered it and seemed to absorb quite a bit of the water. Are these spots from being underwatered? Thank you for your help! 😊

I’m new to alocasias too so I’m not sure but I do know that they’re drama queens and are quite particular about moving to new environments. Mine had an adjustment period for sure before acclimating from its greenhouse to my bedroom!

Thank you! That was another possibility I was thinking of because I figured it went many different locations these past few days. Lol drama queens! 🤞🏼 we’re at a new permanent location now so hope she settles then lol

Watch out for direct sun and overwater

And mist, mist, mist these bad boys! They need humidity. I accidentally killed mine last year so I got a new one and it’s doing great.
