   Are the white flecks some sort of pest/insect? Apart from that it looks damaged but ok

   Spider mites it looks like! Take it in the shower or sink and blast it, you might want to cover the base with a bag so you don’t saturate the soil. Then get some Castile soap/and isopropyl alcohol or insecticidal soap in a spray bottle with water and a makeup brush and wipe it down thoroughly. Keep doing that every week or so.

   The white I was told were from hard water. They brush off with my finger. No spider mites, those are actual spiders. I believe there are 4 of them living in there. The brown just showed up a couple of days ago.
