Over watering or underwatering are my guesses. Did you just recently put the cute rocks on top of the soil? They may be preventing your plants roots from properly drying out and causing root rot. I had this issue myself recently with a bunch of tropical plants that I had put orchid bark on top of the soil (to help prevent fungus gnats) but they all became very unhappy with me
