i’m in need of advice🥲 i replanted some of my plants and watered them and now there’s white mold on top of the soil. this happens almost everytime! i don’t know if the soil i’m using is the problem or if i watered too much for the specific season. any help would be lovely!

I’ll be honest I’ve never had that happen before but is probably the soil if you keep it in a window and let it fully dry out, it should be OK I think 🤷🏻‍♀️

I read that’s its the surplus of minerals and chemicals that the plants can’t process from your water ! Mine do that, its normal if you use tap water, try filtered or distilled water

Mine all do this in the cooler weather with poor air flow in my home (happens on all different soil types, so that part is kinda irrelevant), and less light. Its not harmful to your plants but who wants to live with a bunch of mold around… In this season I only bottom water to ensure my top layer stays dry at all times. I also sprinkle with cinnamon and use a fork to gently mix it into the top 1” to help control it.
