currently fighting a spider mite problem. it’s my first time with this pest, and i purchased neem oil and captain jacks insecticide super soap. i spray the soap on plants i see mites on, and after it dries i spray neem oil. the oil also goes on close-by plants as a preventative. is there anything else i should be doing? i cut off very infested foliage, also, to minimize spreading. pic of the scalped plant that caused all this mess🙄

Spider mites don’t generally take such drastic measures! Chopping off the sleeves wasn’t probably necessary. Too much zeal might be what in the end killed this plant.

i cut this a couple days ago, and it already has two axillary buds starting to sprout so i’m not really worried about it growing back lol but i was worried about the leaves being covered in webs and mites😬

Did you “shower” the other plants you found mites on? I found that helpful when I had a HUGE infestation this summer. After showering them, it was time for Captain Jack’s. I only lost one plant in the fiasco so I’ll take it!
