My Easter cactus has been dropping perfectly healthy leaves and I’m not sure what’s wrong, the plant looks perfectly happy, I placed the broken leaves into the soil but I’m unsure if they’ll propagate like that, any ideas?

Yes, though i might be waiting a little too long between watering honestly

Same thing happened to mine. Perfectly healthy segments dropped for seemingly no reason. Welp, good ol root rot had my poor plant by the short roots. Decimated the plant. 😕 All that to say, listen to PlantyAnn and make sure the soil is dry before watering.

The beauty is these guys propagate super easy so she will, like a phoenix, rise from the ashes. As long as I keep the water in check. 🤞

Mine is also dropping segments and it’s over 20 years old. It’s just part of it. It could be because of the cold weather or not the right soil. If the plant really starts to die then start being worried
