I need some help diagnosing what’s happening to my angel plants leaves. There’s these sort of burn marks that keep growing and spreading across the leaves. My guess is something to do with watering? I water this plant about once a week but I usually just look for signs of wilting for when to water it. The plant is being kept inside a plastic pot with drainage inside of a decorative pot without drainage. The plant gets minimal direct sunlight each day - probably less than 1 hour max if it’s sunny out. Otherwise it has bright indirect sun for most of the day. Any help is appreciated!

What kind of water are you using? When I use tap water I have a couple of plants that get brown bits on their leaves.

I’m using tap and I live in an area with pretty hard water. I do use distilled water for more sensitive plants

Drooping leaves are an indication it needs water. You should also check the soil. It looks like overwatering to me especially if the damage is still spreading after watering. My issue was under watering as shown in the picture. The dryness stopped spreading when I adjusted the watering schedule. Also, my plant is outside and not sensitive to water from the lawn hose. I have hard water.

I may have to repot and see if it makes a difference. I only water it when the leaves start to droop and the top inch of soil is dry. But it may be that the double pots are allowing it to sit in the water for too long. That’s my best guess from your info

Water can buildup in the bottom (drain less?) pot if you are using a self watering pot or not allowing the plant to fully drain before putting it back into the bottom pot. Good luck🍀

Hi Sunny! I thought I’d follow up with you to see what you think about the roots. I’m waiting to repot it to see if there’s anything wrong with the roots that needs addressing. I tried to loosen as much soil as I could from them to get a good look. They’re more orange and darker than I expected for healthy roots, but I’m still pretty new to this. Do you see anything wrong with them or do you think I’m okay to repot in something with better drainage?

I should also note that the bottom soil around the roots was definitely moist but not soaked and there was no water pooled up at the bottom, but it has been several days since I watered it
