I’ve found thrips on my plants during September and have used sb plant invigorater and sprayed down my plants every other day or so. As well as cold pressed organic neem oil diluted with water on their leaves. This worked well. Then I was given 5 free plants (which had thrips). So I’ve been treating them the same way and I’ve also just bought systemic granules because having to spray down 30+ plants takes a long time. I’ve heard a lot of success with systemic granules so I figured I’d give it a try. Good luck though because they’re not easy to deal with, but make sure you buy some sort of insecticidal pray like sb plant invigorater or caption jacks dead bug insect spray today because they cause some bad damage.

SYSTEMIC GRANULES!! I’ve used neem oil and saw them decrease but didn’t see them actually stop until I started using systemic granules. Follow the directions when applying and after abt a week you should see a drastic difference. You can still continue to clean them and use neem oil in addition also

i gave a complete wash of the main plants with dish soap. i used insecticidal soap on them every two weeks and a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water on my other plants to be careful and then after they continued i washed down all my plants with dish soap and the pots they are in. after i did that they seemed to be gone.

I brought home a Alocasia with thrips 😩so stressful. Bonide Systemic granules are the way to go. I put it in all my plants soil. Wear gloves and drop anything on the floor if you have pets. Doing it outside would be ideal. I repotted the plant in new soil. Also sprayed my plants down with Bonide insecticidal soap and do it one a week when I water and rinse them down in the sink. I might have gone overboard doing all my plants but they’re really hard to get rid of if they spread. If you can, isolate the plant. From all I read and advice from YouTubers advice, treatment should continue for about 60 days to make sure you’re getting the larva on the foliage. Good luck!

I have had thrips on a plant before, and I used need oil for it. Although now that I have learned more about plant pests and the options to eradicate them, I would say buying insects that have the pest in their main diet is a good choice. This way, you will not have to keep looking for them to make sure they’re all gone. The bugs will take care of that! Not only will it save you time, but if there are any other pests that may have gone into another plant, the bigs will go from plant to plant making sure they’re not there! Then in a few weeks, the bug population will die out when there are no more pests. This is what I plan to do with my plants as well.
