This looks like thrips to me. Or spider mites. Either are terrible and this plant probably won’t fully shake them ever. Isolate the other plants you have. You can make a mix of 1 part 70% alcohol with 5 parts water and a little squirt of dish soap. Spray down the plant and wipe it with a paint brush or tooth brush.. get into the base of the stem and leaf. Leave it on there so it leaves a soap barrier to suffocate the pest. If it’s thrips, you’ll find these black shiny dots around the bottom of the leaf somewhere. Thrips poo. Also would maybe feel waxy spots. At a certain point you’ll see them. Just know thrips can bite humans and they tend to try to burrow. It’s a stingy feeling. Wear gloves 🧤. If it’s spider mites you’d likely see some threads or webbing. Spider mites are faster moving but thrips in their end stage can fly so.. not cool. Thrips will look like little flakes of tiny dandruff in the wind. My own collection has been all but eradicated now twice.

Thanks for these details. I believe an Alocasia I brought home had thrips. I treated all my plants with Bonide and have cleaned them with Sacred Elements. I have clear sticky traps in the windows to catch flyers. Repotted the Alocasia in Mollys Mix and cut off the damaged leaves and it’s growing. Im still paranoid that they may still be around and I can’t see them. How did you get rid of yours? I don’t even want to buy new plants now :(

Took a photo of one of the spider mites from a tiny digital microscope I have. They are so creepy. Also, good rule of thumb is that slow moving bugs are bad, fast ones tend to be non threatening.
