This poor plant. 😢 My coworker knew I had a bad day a couple weeks ago and bought me this little heart cacti. I’m not even sure of the actual name yet. She forgot to bring it in from her car and then I was on vacation for a week. There it sat in her car. She gave it to me on Monday and it looked so bruised and sad. Determined to revive it, I watered it and sat it in my office. Then I decided to take it home to a sunny window. Sat it ever so gently on the middle console and when I looked back, it had tried to kill itself on my passenger seat! Scooped up what I could and took it home. Sat it on the table and my dog ripped it down. 🫣😭 So she’s repotted in some cacti soil and in the window. I’m sure she froze and won’t return but I don’t give up that easily. This poor plant.

This is a variegated Hoya Kerii. Many of these single heart-shaped leaves don’t have a growth point/node and won’t produce new growth, but sometimes they do. It can take a very long time though. It looks like it may have gotten too cold and/or sunburned. I don’t know if it will make it, but it’s worth a shot. I would move it back from the windowsill a bit and make sure the healthier parts are nice and firm. Then don’t water it until it doesn’t quite feel so firm anymore. You never want it to get so dehydrated that it gets wrinkly though. Good luck!
