Made a post a few days ago on this guy and the yellowing is getting worse. I have had my dehumidifier off for a few days now and my room humidity is 70%+ (the reason I use a dehumidifier.) now. It’s like four feet from a window. I have only just watered it again since I got it about two or so weeks ago. so I’m starting to think this is underwatering. I let it dry out a ton. The mix it came with seems pretty chunky and ariated so maybe I need to be less afraid of watering. It did get a good watering today. Ideas?

I keep my giant taro’s soil always moist…I’ve been scared to let him dry out completely. My humidity is 43%, but I add a humidifier overnight each night.

Ok so I’ve absolutely been underwatering. I think I need to invest in some super chunky soil components so I can water more often without fear of rotting it. I started out with succulents for plants so I’m new to alocasia 😅 along with having just recently rotted some of my string of hearts bc I watered it a few days too early. It’s only just putting out new shoots. But I think that thing needs a more shallow hanging basket.
