My grapevine leaves are spotted and turning a yellowish color. I understand going into fall the plants aren’t getting as much sun and ultimately the leaves will fall and the vine goes into hibernation, but what disease causes the spotting and discoloration? What can I do to save the grapevine? Please advise!

Leafhoppers caused that damage, most likely. They are the locusts of grapevines because they start to suck the sap from the leaves in spring and just get worse through the growing season. They love grapevines. They damage the leaves like thrips, but, leave black dots of poop on the leaves! They are tiny and hard to see. My elderly neighbor grew black grapes along her driveway in my hometown. That’s how I learned about leaf miners and leafhoppers.
