My alocasia wentii has this weird markings on the stem, occasionally. Tried to scrape it off from another stem earlier and it eventually became feeble and the leaf died. Do you think it’s a pest/ fungal issue and is it potentially harmful/ contagious to other leaves? I scanned thoroughly but I found no other signs of pests. Any help in diagnosing is much appreciated.
