I have one and unfortunately do not have an E window in my townhouse. I did get one new leaf on it since I got it in spring but it was a slow, long process.

Also I have found it helps to ensure to give water that has been sitting out for at least 12 hours even if filtered

this is an old wive’s tale actually, letting the water sit out only allows a small (insignificant) amount of chlorine to evaporate. all the other harmful additives like chloride and fluoride, and pre-existing minerals will remain.

It stinks. I want the plant to thrive so makes me sad

watering with tap water will do that to most prayer plants. give the soil a thorough rinse with distilled or rainwater to help remedy the problem. if it’s not thoroughly flushed of chemicals, the leaves will continue to turn crispy and die. to prevent this in the future, only use distilled or rain water for plants sensitive to minerals

Thank you. I believe this is the case. Our tap water went from good to smelling of chlorine. I will try a flush. And pray it helps
