Hi everyone, I’ve had this hurricane plant since when it was very little and it’s always been one of the favourites between my 15 plants. But recently the leaves started becoming faded and rotten from the main stem. Any advice why it happened and how to save it, if it still can be saved? Will appreciate any advice.

I had a plant that did this. I was watering it too much and the base got waterlogged then rotted away 😞 I got some of the 8-10mm clay pebbles on Amazon and put them at the bottom and top of my pot. For me, it has helped keep the plant & roots safe from getting waterlogged, and the smaller pebbles help keep bugs away. I hope this helps!

It’s crown rot. This can be caused by watering in the middle of the plant, overwatering or poor drainage. It may be difficult to save. Check the roots. Remove the rot and disinfect with hydrogen peroxide. Repot. Good luck🍀

Thank you both. Unfortunately, I was not able to save it. I guess the problem caused by me watering it in the middle of the plant. I had to remove all the leaves. It’s just the root now. I don’t know if it’ll grow leaves again…?
