So I was looking at my plants and I noticed that there were some fungus gnats flying around a few of my plants so I asked a friend what I should do and she said that I should spray the plants with soapy water. I wasn't 100% sure about the decision, but I did it anyways. I sprayed it on my succulent my spider plant, my monstera, and my cactus. Today I noticed that the cactus is on the verge of death and looks like she like deflated 😭 or something. Did I spray too much or does soapy water kill cacti? The other plants are fine, but there are still some fungus gnats :/ Is there any way I can save her?

Can’t help with the cactus, but get Mosquito Bits for the fungus gnats ASAP. Those things will infest all your plants in about three days.

Another thing that works for gnats is to let the soil get quite dry between waterings and then do 1/3 hydrogen peroxide to water when you do water. This kills the larva that live in the moist soil
