My mini orchid has had several leaves turn yellow and whither. I have two others that are doing fine and all 3 are under grow lights. This is the third leaf that has turned yellow. What is wrong?

If the ones dying are at the bottom of the plant, it’s most likely just older leaves just dying off. When i first got my mini orchid, I had 3 old leaves die off but it’s doing fine now with new flowers and a new leaf coming in(2 months later)

How’s long have you had the plant? If it is a new acquisition and they are lower leaves, it could be simply adjusting to a new environment. It’s also natural for plants to periodically shed leaves. One, possibly two, over the course of a year is nothing to worry too much about. On the other hand you, if this plant has been in your collection for a while and suddenly begins dropping multiple leaves, there is most likely something bigger going on. -The green leaves look smooth and firm so it’s not dehydrated. Overwatering is a common issue for orchids. Are you letting the media dry out between waterings? I see you have some ventilation holes towards the top or the pot. I like the holes to be distributed throughout the pot, or concentrated towards the bottom. My reasoning is the media has larger exposure to air at the top so it dries out faster. The ventilation lower down helps the median towards the bottom to dry out at a relatively similar rate. - You have some new roots developing and the old roots on the top of the mix look reasonable. What do the roots look like deeper in the pot? Healthy roots are firm and green when wet, silvery when dry. Dead roots are mushy or papery and brown to black. Are you seeing a lot of dead roots? - The media looks fine on top. What is the condition deeper in the pot? How old is the media? Typically, orchids will need to be repotted every 2 to 3 years or sooner if the media degrades prematurely. - Recently repotted orchids sometimes go through transplant shock, especially if you had to remove a significant amount of roots. -I cannot see any red or burned areas and the leaves look a little dark. It might want more light. - Do you see any pests? - Less likely culprits could be fertilizer or temperature.

Oh and if you post on Orchid Oasis, you will connect with more orchid growers.
