My fiddle fig started growing like crazy this spring after moving it… | Pests, diseases and problems 🇺🇸 | Planta-Community

My fiddle fig started growing like crazy this spring after moving it to a different room with more light! It has windows facing East and South/South West, and gets sun all day. The top half of the plant recently started bending over, and it dropped a few lower leaves. I noticed the bottom half of the trunk is brown (as are the stems to the leaves) and the top trunk/stems are green. Any idea what is going on / how to fix it?

Is this area lower light than your last area? It looks like your plant is reaching for more light.

These plants tend to like bright light. Mostly indirect, but a little morning sun is OK and shouldn’t cause anything to burn or dry out.

It’s higher light actually (I have a shade closed to my right so it looks dark)! And I rotate the plant every time I water

No problem. Any plant can be finicky. Once it finds the right environment. I just try to mimick that. You could try a halo grow light to put over it or a lamp if you wanna keep it in that corner
