Hey Yall, Newby here … I just picked up this beauty from my local nursery & wanted to inquire about these few leaves. They repotted her today & I thoroughly expected her after wiping down her leaves, no bug/mites in the soil or underneath any leaves. So, let me know whats going on & what i should do.

Ok that’s good! It does look like cat damage though. Maybe a cat at the nursery? I have a cat and those double lines/scratches and holes look like a cats top little canine teeth. They all look equally spaced out which makes me think it’s a set of canines and not some type of pest. Also the fact that the “bites” are found around the edges of the leaves makes me think something is coming by and biting the leaf as opposed to it being a pest where the holes could be more towards the center of the leaf radiating outwards. I don’t see any signs of pest from the other pictures which is good. All the leaves look really nice! Congrats on the new pickup!

aaah, that would make sense as all of the damage are on the leaves at the bottom, thank you!

End of season plants have battle scars. They get moved. They get damaged and insects chew on them. The holes look like insect damage. Other spots could be mishandling and overgrown roots causing mushy spots. Cut off the unsightly ones.
