Have had this mystery plant for a little over a year and there have been no issues, but recently she developed brown spots all over her leaves. She is usually in low light a few feet from the window, and I water her daily, so I was curious if it could be root rot (and if so, what I should do). Would greatly appreciate if anyone knows what she is or could give a diagnosis. :)

Weekly watering is probably fine - this is a draceana

We also have one of those and after a while started to get some dark spots like yours and then we used Dr Plant that suggested that was overwatering , we started just watering when planta app said and not too much and now is much better.

They do not like tapwater that is the brown spots dracaena’s like distilled water and watering every two weeks should be fine. Always check to make sure that the soil has dried out before watering again

What about tap water filtered with a Brita pitcher?
