Any hope for saving my calathea? :( I stopped misting it in case the spots are from fungus or water build up, and recently switched to filtered water. Would welcome any other ideas

I’ve tried everything too! I only use rain water, have it in a humid environment, perfect sun, and it still has issues with the leaves! I will follow your thread and hopefully we can find a cure (other than “it’s just a jerk”, which is what I tell people.)

If you just switched to filtered water, you won’t see a change in the already browning/yellowing leaves. Keep an eye out to make sure there isn’t any more color change and you probably found the culprit!

You may need to let all the existing growth completely die back and enjoy new healthy growth with the new water it likes. Patience is key. Let the soil dry out at least 50% dry between waterings. That will also help.
