Need help with two very sad looking pothos - one marble queen and one neon. Not totally sure what happened but these two started getting really leggy and sad after I repotted them this spring. The neon one had root rot issues in the past from being grown in water so could’ve been that. Not sure about the marble queen, I think the pot might’ve been to big for it. I chopped and propped a lot of them in hopes that I could recover them and the neon pothos started regrowing some new leaves but they are much smaller. They both get plenty of morning light from an east facing window. Any recommendations on how I could make them look more full again and have them start producing bigger foliage?

The marble queen looks like it’s got a lot of white in its variegation. This may be preventing it from photosynthesizing properly. You could try cutting back the white leaves. It may need fertilizer, especially if it’s been growing in water with no nutrients.

I can see the neon has too much water in its pot. If you’re keeping it in a nursery pot with a decorative pot as a cover (with no drainage I assume) you HAVE to take it out to water it and let it drain the water out. They also need to be in fertilizer mixed potting soil in my opinion. My pothos is extremely healthy and all I do is make sure she has drainage, light, and water once a week.

I do take it out when I water to drain. I don’t believe it’s due to overwatering. I’ll try adding worm castings to the soil for fertilizer

Yes that may help! Sometimes it’s just something fickle.

It’s not a variegation issue. I have two snow Queen pothos with more light colors than dark. They still have their true colors. I would believe a fertilization issue: too much or too little. It could be too much of other additives. There is white substance in both jars. Is that fertilizer?

It’s perlite - I put the probations in perlite so they could root

Leggy means there is a lot of space between the nodes, usually because the plant is reaching for the light. However these plants are not a good example. I think these are after pictures because they are not leggy at all. Leggy refers to the long legs or stem the plant grows as it reaches for the light.
