seems like you’re in need of a fungicide, i think this is powdery mildew, definitely some kind of fungus though. there are all kinds of natural and chemical products available at your local hardware store or supermarket (like walmart or target)

It looks like it has a pretty bad case of a scale insect infestation I’m afraid (not the typical flat one). I know that it looks like fungal growth but if you knock some of it from the branches you should see some small individual bugs there. They can be a bit tricky to control outdoors but a jet of water can help dislodge many and bring the numbers down so it’s easier to treat it using other methods.

I’m sorry to hear that. Pests like scale insects can be tricky to get rid of fully on a bigger plant. Generally speaking, a combination of repeated mechanical removal, using a soapy water solution and in severe cases (when other options won’t work after multiple attempts) using a gentler pesticide can work. If you’re a premium subscriber you are very welcome to create a support ticket for your plant (through Dr. Planta) so we can help take a better look at it and see what’s possible to do to help it 🙂
