Just noticed these horizontal markings on my spider plant for the first time; I’m hoping that it’s fine but has anyone seen something like this before? 😬 feels like I’m looking at veins or something lol it’s creeping me out a bit

it looks a bit chlorotic to me. this could be due to alkaline soil or a nutrient deficiency, have you fertilized recently?
3 gillningarI did fertilize 6 days ago 😮
0 gillningarDo you think systemic insecticide could have caused that? I did add some to the soil not too long ago, I wonder if maybe I added too much

it’s very possible. chlorosis is basically when a plant can’t get what it needs, so the chlorophyll dies off. there are lots of potential causes, like waterlogged soil or root damage
1 gillaGood to know, I’ve never heard of chlorosis before! I’ll be sure to give the plant some extra TLC 🫡 thanks!
