Help! My avacado plant has been doing great, but just recently has been browning on two of the 4 leaves. It is currently in water and the roots look fine… is it time to transfer it to soil? What should I do?

I potted my avocado tree right after she got her first leaf. It has been two years now and she is doing great! I would put it in soil soon so it can soak up more nutrients.

Def put it in soil and make sure it stays fairly moist while it transitions. Also, Avocado trees need fairly regular pruning, if you cut about 3 in off the top, or above a node, a new steam will shoot up taller and grow more leaves!

Okay thank you! Should I prune it in the winter or is it fine to do now? (sorry, I’m new to all this!)

When plants are left in water longterm they need water soluble fertilizer added, I would recommend moving this little one to soil ☺️ good luck!
