My Guzmania plant is turning crusty and brown at the flower top. Does anyone have any tips to heal my plant? Thanks!

    Here is what I read about Guzmanias: Guzmania flowers turn brown after 6 months of flowering as a natural part of the bromeliad's life cycle. The flower turns brown and dies back which triggers new off shoots to grow.
