Anyone know what the white stuff on the top of the soil is? It’s on a couple of my plants as of lately.

Is it from your water? Any time I use unfiltered tap water from my sink some of the soil on top turns white - not too sure why

Sometimes the water is too hard. I have to water mine with RO water or bottled water so it doesn’t hurt my 🪴 babies

Mold. Not really a problem unless it becomes excessive. Could be due to overwatering, not enough airflow and not enough airy amendments in the soil.

Tap water is toxic to plants. You should repot and only use rain water or distilled. I can’t really tell what mineral it is but it is some sort of build up. You might wanna rise until the water runs clear through the soil, that should be done on a regular basis anyway to keep the plant cleaned out so to speak.
