Hello! I am a new plant parent and was feeling ambitious and got a fiddle leaf fig 😣 (big mistake). One stem is leaning, the bottom leaves look dropped to me, and I’m worried it’s not happy. I’ve only watered it once since buying it 7 days ago as it was bone dry from Home Depot. I don’t know if it has root rot, needs pruning, a bigger pot? I’m doing my best with a humidifier, indirect light, and pebble tray (water isn’t touching bottom of pot) to make it happy. Any advice is welcome!

In my experience that’s pretty normal as it gets bigger. Maybe just add a support for the branches. Also could be shock from a new environment! I’d give it a couple weeks! Looks very healthy to me :)

I agree with Raquel. They need to adjust to their new home sometimes. Beautiful plant.

I just came to say I think it’s looking really good! And it sounds like you’re doing everything right. I love these but I’be never been ambitious enough to get one myself.

repotting can be stressful for fiddle leaf figs especially when it’s acclimating to a new environment, just give it time 😊
