what’s going on with my corn plant? i thought it might be fungal infection so i cut some parts of the leaves off, but it didn’t seem to help. there’s golden pothos planted right below it, and it seems unaffected by whatever is happening to the corn plant. i was gifted this plant for my birthday and i really want to fix it, so if anyone has advice i’d really appreciate it

Those little eyes are cute. Are they hanging with magnets?

That looks like Black stem rot. It can be caused by an internal fungus and other issues. It will be extremely difficult to save that plant. You can salvage cuttings from the healthy parts to propagate before the rot spreads to the entire plant. I had one slowly die like that many years ago.
