This is Aphrodite, my pothos N’joy and I absolutely adore her. I left for vacation a week and a half ago and I had watered her thoroughly before leaving. Now I regret not bringing her to a friends house to be taken care of. I came home today and she looked like this. Her soil was bone dry so I made sure the soil wasn’t hydrophobic and watered her again. I really hope she will perk up in the morning. Please give me any other suggestion on how to help her <3

Okay, hear me out— it looks like over-watering like you watered too much before you left and it’s just been sick since…. Do you have a soil hydrometer? Or a bamboo stick? I would stop watering, maybe even repot in dry soil. Prune off the affected leaves. Pothos can survive without water for sometime and ten days wouldn’t make it die back this severely.

It will come back! She might need some sun too, maybe? If only for a day

I have questions about aerial roots on my new pothos. This is my first N’joy pothos. I ordered it after recently seeing a beautiful display in an airport. It arrived as expected with some dry leaves. It’s not in bad considering the heat. But, the aerial roots are longer than expected and a bit spindly. Is this normal for an N’joy pothos? Does it put out longer aerial roots like a monstera? I could not find one showing these roots except one growing up a tree. Also, the root ball is the densest and heaviest I’ve seen for a 6” pot. It weighs almost 2lbs. It’s mostly potting soil mix with sand and heavy bark much. The soil is compacted. The roots look fine though. I will definitely change to a less dense soil mixture.
