Unsure what’s going on with my ZZ. Under-watering…, overwatering… anyone have any ideas? Thanks plant friends!

Usually yellow means overwatering and brown means under watering. ZZs don’t need much water because they have bulbs under the soil that hold water. I would probably chop the yellow and only water when the soil is completely dry.’

In my experience it’s way easier to overwater a zz plant than to underwater it. They’re like succulents. They’ll wilt pretty fast if they’re watered while the soil is still moist. Hope that helps!

Get rid of the yellow stems and get a water gauge. Takes the guess work out of watering.
0 likesI agree about it being overwatered, I would also give it some more Sun. In my experience if I don’t water a plant a lot but it’s leaves are yellowing, moving it to a more sunny spot will help!
