What kind of light? What kind of soil and how frequently are you watering? Is this a spider plant?
2 Me gustaI have it with a grow light but not directly under it. It’s in potting soil with extra perlite and some orchid bark, I water about 1 once every week and a half to two weeks when the the top 2 inches are dry. Yes it is a spider plant

I’m not much help. 🤷🏼♀️ Your conditions seem good. Are the roots healthy and no known pests?
2 Me gustaNo known pest that I could see when I checked it a few minutes ago but I have not taken out of the pot to check roots though I’m scared to do that and make it worse 😔
1 me gustaIf you wait a day after watering you can sometimes very gently slide the whole thing out to check the roots.
1 me gustaOh ok I’ll do that tomorrow then! I watered her today

Spider plants sometimes brown when they need more humid try adding a humidifier by it, mine gets brown spots sometimes too!

I was gonna ask if it was a snake plant…I’m obsessed with them. I would say get a water meter. I use mine to check the moisture in my plants before I water and while I’m watering so that I can make sure and not go too far beyond JUST moist enough. Dry tips usually indicate low humidity, but with so much discoloration you might want to trim it back and cut back on watering.
1 me gustaOk so I should cut the brown tips off?

I would cut everything that is discolored. It’s not just the tips so it makes me think something is wrong.

if you’re using tap water (with added chlorine and fluoride) that’s probably the cause. spider plants are very sensitive to chemicals and hard water

Rain water works well for me.
1 me gustaI’ve recently started using rainwater but once winter comes idk what I’m gonna do

Not sure what your living situation is, but I have two 55 gallon rain barrels that collect water from my gutters. Maybe do some 5 gallon containers like the ones they sell at Lowe’s in the paint department. You can get them for free from sandwich shops. I think they get pickles or something in them. Otherwise, use distilled water.

i would caution against using water that is roof runoff… roofing tiles are full of chemicals your plants probably won’t appreciate (hardier species might not care but it could still be detrimental to their health in the long run)

I got a water distiller from Amazon. Originally for my carnivorous plants but I figured all the plants would appreciate it and they do.

My spider plant had a similar issue because of my tap water so I just fill a watering can and let it sit for a day or more so the chlorine can evaporate.
1 me gustaOk thank you I may start doing that maybe get some extra gallons and have them sit for awhile thank you!
